🔥 Respectfully, Your Drop Shot Sucks

Most “drop shots” I see aren’t drop shots
They’re cheap lobs asking to be crushed.
They either hit the net, float too high, or sit on a platter for your opponent.
A proper drop isn’t about looking fancy; it’s about control, precision, and forcing your opponent into a defensive nightmare.
If your drop is sloppy, you’re not creating opportunities, you’re giving points away.
Make your drop shot deadly:
Target the NVZ line.
Aim just past the kitchen without bouncing high enough for an easy smash.
Soft hands, not weak hands.
Control comes from touch, not a timid paddle tap.
Mix angles.
Don’t always hit straight, diagonal drops create confusion and force movement.
Watch their feet.
If they’re off balance or retreating, that’s your sweet spot to drop.
A killer drop shot isn’t flashy, it’s surgical.
Stop gifting easy points and start forcing your opponent to dance.
Master the drop, and you’ll turn the kitchen into your personal weapon zone.
Part of that mastery is getting in the REPS! Get a drilling partner. Get in 100 makes every other day, and watch your game skyrocket!
